CNC Repair Tip #13: ATC Recovery M-Codes for Mori Seiki MV-35 through MV-55 with Yasnac Control MX-2

In the event of an ATC stoppage on a Mori Seiki MV-35-55 (with Yasnac MX-2 control) you must reset the ATC through the use of the M-codes listed in the table below.
The ATC actions on the Mori Seiki MV-35-through MV-55 (with the Yasnac MX-2 Control) are performed primarily with hydraulic cylinders.The actions are interlocked to prevent the operations being done in the wrong order. For example, the arm should not rotate if the Z axis is not at the home position and the pot isn’t down. Using the M-codes will prevent dangerous situations and damage to the machine. This is a much less risky option than manually operating solenoid valves. Manual operation of valves will cause an action to be executed regardless of whether or not the action is safe to perform. Note: When tools of different sizes are assigned to the magazine, after doing step 5, you must put the pot back up, index the magazine to a empty pot position, rotate the arm 180 degrees by step 6, then put the pot back down before doing step 7.
